These Mothers Are Making a Difference

We believe children belong in families, not institutions, so as we approach Mother's Day, we want to shine a light on some of the incredible mothers at myLIFEspeaks who are the driving force behind making that belief a reality. Their stories showcase the strength, resilience, and unwavering love that defines motherhood.

Gertha is a beacon of Christ-centered love. She doesn't differentiate between her biological daughter and the four foster children entrusted to her care. Each child receives the same warmth, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. She leads by example, teaching them scripture, worship songs, and the importance of a relationship with Jesus.

Madam Bertang embodies unwavering support for her daughter, Nephtalie. In a society that once ostracized those with special needs, she fought tirelessly to ensure Nephtalie received the education and opportunities she deserved. Now, working in the Special Education Department at LIFE Academy, Madam Bertang inspires not only her daughter but other parents to see the inherent value in their children.

Momma Antoine is a testament to the power of a mother's love. With seven biological children and countless others she's taken under her wing, she personifies the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. Her Christ-centered life inspires not just her family but the entire village of Neply.

Santiana is a new mother to baby Jayden. She embodies the hopeful promise of motherhood. Her unwavering faith will guide her as she raises Jayden to his full potential.

These mothers, along with countless others in our program, are the backbone of strong, nurturing families. Through myLIFEspeaks, we equip them to provide a loving, stable environment where children can thrive.

Together, we can ensure more children experience the love and security of a family, just like Gertha, Madam Bertang, Momma Antoine, and Santiana provide.
