THE VILLAGE IMPACT STORIES
IMaya Ruth
Imaya Ruth came into our care in August 2023 after being abandoned at a sanatorium in Haiti when she was just two years old. After Haitian Child Services could not locate her mother, myLIFEspeaks welcomed Imaya and discovered she had cerebral palsy. Adam and Jolène Pierre, trained foster parents, opened their adapted home to her, and she started physical therapy to build strength and mobility. Once abandoned, Imaya is now chosen, deeply loved, and surrounded by a family and village helping her thrive.
Elderly Program
LIFE 46:4 ensures that older adults in our village are never forgotten or neglected by providing healthcare, nutritious meals, and social support. Each week, members gather in a welcoming space for health screenings, educational activities, Gospel devotionals, and prayer. They also enjoy meaningful conversations, fellowship, and opportunities to build lasting friendships. Through consistent care and connection, our elderly neighbors know they are valued, supported, and deeply loved by their community.
Sarah
Sarah was found fleeing violence along a highway in Gressier, Haiti, where her epilepsy and behaviors were misunderstood. After years of trauma, she spent her first weeks at myLIFEspeaks resting in her room and slowly learning she was safe. Today, Sarah lives with her forever family, attends LIFE Academy, helps her classmates, and enjoys music, school, and time with her siblings. Once rejected and feared, she is now known, accepted, and deeply loved throughout her village community each and every day.
