Among medical screenings, nutritional enrichment, Bible devotionals, exercise and socialization, myLIFEspeaks’ weekly Elderly Program (LIFE 46:4, based on Isaiah 46:4) also empowers elderly in our community to learn their numbers, letters, and how to write their names.
Here our elderly participants are practicing reciting the alphabet! In Haiti, unfortunately the elderly are often overlooked or forgotten about. There are no assisted living facilities and if they don’t have family close to care for them, they may simply go without certain needs being met.
Participants and myLIFEspeaks staff alike look forward to elderly program each week. It is definitely a highlight and brings abundant joy to all!
As of March we have 59 weekly participants in elderly program! It is so encouraging to see how this program is growing and how God is using LIFE 46:4 to meet both physical and spiritual needs of the elderly in our village community.
