#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving on May 5, 2020, created as an emergency response to mobilize critical support for non-profits during these uncertain times amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our goal is to raise $47,000 to cover one month of myLIFEspeaks' operations in Haiti. This money will go directly to Haiti to:
Feed a child. Feed a family. Feed a village.

According to BBC World News, Haiti has less than 60 working ventilators in a country of 11 million people. Of those ventilators, only a limited group of doctors know how to operate them.
If COVID-19 continues to spread in Haiti, a country with zero health care infrastructure and minimal preventative resources, experts say the devastation and loss of life could be unrecoverable.
We are doing everything we can to protect, prevent, and provide for our commUNITY.
We can’t bring people to campus so we are bringing meals to them. Every week we pack and deliver 229 sacks of rice, beans, & cooking oil for a weeks’ worth of meals, ensuring children, the elderly, and vulnerable in our commUNITY still eat.
Where freshwater and soap for hand washing isn’t commonplace, we got creative. We built and installed hands-free washing stations, full with CDC recommended bleach to water ratio, from materials on hand.
We are still paying the salaries of our 160 Haitian employees who cannot come to work but still need to provide for their families. Right now many Haitians are having to choose between going to work and risk being infected or staying home and their family starving.

We are committed to doing everything we can to protect and provide for our commUNITY. In these uncertain times, when we know everyone is hurting, we humbly and sensitively ask that if you have any extra to give please consider doing so.
Together, we are saving lives. We couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for your prayers and for your support.
