CURRENT NEEDS

  • Our first goal is to secure funding to provide an initial 6-month “runway” for myLIFEspeaks to get off the ground and begin working in Haiti.  This funding would cover the general operating costs and administrative costs associated with the organization.  With this funding in place, myLIFEspeaks will be able to aggressively move towards the goal of impacting the lives of orphans in Haiti.
  • Commitments to cover Rent for the rental facility.  The rental facility will begin in the myLIFEspeaks initial launch—beginning January 2012.  Katie Erie will begin living there in November 2011 and projects will take place in and around the location to prepare for the initial induction of children that is set to take place March 2012.
  • A full-time security presence is needed on the campus
  • Furnishings for the staff (Haitian and American) living at the campus in Haiti (mattresses, sheets, blankets, towels, etc.)
  • A Generator for the campus
  • An Inverter for the campus
  • A pump for the well already located at the campus (current pump is broken)
  • Paint for the campus
  • Cleaning supplies for the campus
  • A vehicle for transportation of the staff, teams, and children
