New Position for Chris and Tracy

We are proud to announce that Chris and Tracy will be MOVING to HAITI!  That’s right, Chris has accepted the position of On-Site Director at the myLIFEspeaks Campus in Neply, and they will be relocating very soon…hopefully as soon as September 1.  Chris will be overseeing our campus, our staff, and alongside his “MUCH” better-half, they will be mentoring house parents and couples in Neply.  Chris brings his skills as a High School Football Coach (he’s a Defensive Coordinator) to Neply and is excited to be a part of the brand new, NYSL (Neply Youth Soccer League).

Tracy adds so much to the myLIFEspeaks team–she’s passionate about living LIFE with the women of Neply.  She’s going to be opening her home to the ladies of the community and will become a resource and wealth of knowledge, information, and love.

Meet the King Family

 

 

Chris and Tracy King met and fell in LOVE (Tracy is certain it was love at first sight for Chris) at the University of Texas at Austin and have been married almost 12 years….and lovin’ every minute of it.  They have “five super cool kids” aged 9 to 2, and they are passionate about introducing people to a LIFE-changing experience called, Haiti.

The Kings were first introduced to Haiti when they joined First Baptist Church in Midlothian, TX in the summer of 2010.  As they became more involved in the church and grew closer to its members, God enlightened them with more information on Haiti.  In March of 2011, Tracy took her first trip to Haiti with an adoptive parent.  She immediately fell in love and developed an immense passion for the country and its people.  Tracy and Chris both embarked on a short-term trip to Haiti in June of 2011 and together they felt drawn to the country with so much need.  With 8 years of foster care experience and 5 biological children it doesn’t take long to know that the Kings have a love for children. God has created a desire for their LIFE to SPEAK for children in need.  After a  high school coaching stint lasting 10 years, the King’s feel led to fulfill 2 of their biggest passions: Haiti and children.

We are proud to announce that Chris and Tracy will assume the roles of Trip Coordinators for myLIFEspeaks trips beginning July 1, 2012.  Chris and Tracy will be responsible for all aspects of team planning, communication, and stateside coordination of teams heading to the myLIFEspeaks campus in Leogane, Haiti.  Chris and Tracy would appreciate your prayers as they embark on this journey…towards letting their LIFE SPEAK UP for those who can’t SPEAK for themselves.
