SPA Day at the myLIFEspeaks Campus

How do you say thank you to someone who has made your LIFE better?  During the May 26-June 2 trip to the myLIFEspeaks campus in Neply, Haiti, the team did something that hadn’t been done before…they offered a SPA DAY to all the workers on campus.

They went all out giving the staff manicures, pedicures, shoulder massages, and even provided magazines for the staff to look at while they enjoyed their day.  The mood was complete with music and food for each staff member.

Why would someone have a SPA DAY for workers in Haiti?  The answer is simple…they’re FAMILY.  At myLIFEspeaks we have determined that the best way we can impact the entire community is to:

We have committed to walking through LIFE with our community.  We have learned from our Haitian community that FAMILY means much more than blood relationships.  FAMILY in Haiti reaches to every corner of the village.  For us, Neply is our FAMILY.  We can’t “fix” everything that is broken in Neply, but we CAN empower the people to not only see the problems but to also dream about and plan for the solutions.
